Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where in the world they are. It does not tell us who you are, and we never combine it with anything else.
What is not a cookie
Your answer to the banner is kept in this browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. It never leaves your device. A few pages also remember small conveniences the same way — nothing that identifies you.
Things on this site that belong to somebody else
Three parts of the site are run by other companies. When one of them loads, it can set its own cookies, under its own policy, which we do not control:
- OpenTable — the booking form on the home page. Their privacy policy.
- Google Maps — the map on the home page and on Contact. Google’s privacy policy.
- Our ordering site — every “Order” button leaves this site for order.qartolrestaurant.co.uk, which is a separate service with its own terms.
The fonts and every photograph on this site are served from this domain, so reading a page contacts nobody else.
Turning them off in your browser
Every browser can block or delete cookies for a site — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking them will not stop this site working. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains cookies and your rights over them.
