Allergen information
Last updated 31 August 2026
If you have a food allergy or an intolerance, please tell us before you order — in the restaurant, on the phone, or in the notes when you order online. We will go through the dish with you.
Ask us first. Call 01342 323649 and we will tell you exactly what is in a dish. Please do this before ordering rather than after — recipes and suppliers change, and this page cannot be as current as the kitchen is.
What the menu does and does not tell you
The description under each dish on our menu lists its main ingredients. That is a guide, not an allergen declaration: it does not cover what a sauce, a marinade or a dressing is made from, and it will not list a trace.
A (V) after a dish name means it is vegetarian. It does not mean vegan, and it does not mean free of milk, egg or gluten — most of our vegetarian mezze contain dairy. Ask us if you need vegan.
The fourteen allergens we are asked about
UK law names fourteen. We can tell you which of them a dish contains:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten — wheat, rye, barley, oats
- Crustaceans — prawns, crab, lobster
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs — mussels, squid
- Mustard
- Peanuts
- Sesame
- Soybeans
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites
- Tree nuts — almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios and others
What our kitchen cannot guarantee
We cook to order in one open kitchen. The Mangal charcoal grill takes meat, fish and vegetables across the same bars; the fryer is shared; and mezze are prepared on shared surfaces. So while we can tell you what we put in a dish, we cannot promise any dish is free of a given allergen, and we will not tell you that it is.
If your allergy is severe, please speak to us before you book or order, and we will be straight with you about whether we can feed you safely.
Ordering online
Orders placed through our ordering site reach the same kitchen, but the notes box is not a conversation. If an allergen matters, call 01342 323649 as well as writing it down, so we can confirm it with you.
